We're looking for an enthusiastic Accounting Clerk to join our team and play a pivotal role in our mission.Job Description:As an Accounting Clerk at Homesol Building Solutions Inc., you'll be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for various accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial management. Your responsibilities will include:
Utilizing QuickBooks Online to maintain and update accounting records, including transaction coding and journal entries.
Handling accounts payable functions, such as posting payables, facilitating payments, and conducting bi-weekly cheque runs.
Managing accounts receivable tasks, including posting customer payments, issuing invoices, and running AR reports using Square software.
Preparing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for operating companies.
Collaborating with the administration department to resolve client billing issues and ensure timely collections.
Assisting in payroll processing and managing employee expense reports.
Providing adhoc reporting to internal stakeholders on accounts payable, receivables, and financial records.
Serving as the point of contact for external accountants and compiling year-end requirements as needed.
Filing monthly, quarterly, and annual HST remittances.
Skills/Qualifications:
Accounting experience in bookkeeping/accounts payable/accounts receivable roles.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and understanding of accounting procedures and processes.
Strong data entry skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with Jobber software and Square Software considered an asset.
