DescriptionGeneral Information:The service representative will be responsible for executing service work at customer sites, delivering according to Hitachi Energy standards while adhering to the Health and Safety requirements, according to the project schedule and budget, with utmost professionalism.Responsibilities:Perform transformer installation and maintenance activitiesPerform replacement of bushings and repair of transformer leaksPerform electrical testing of transformers that includes power factor, ratio, resistance, insulation resistance, SFRAOperate and maintain transformer oil processing rigMaintain tool and work trailersEnsure all site work is performed to meet proper safety requirementsGood knowledge of Electric Power EquipmentHandles post commissioning warranty activitiesAbility to build customer relationships and makes recommendation to customers with regards to equipment performance.Works in collaboration with other departments (sales, marketing and engineering) and bring Field Service expertise.Reviews, analyzes and interprets and comments on technical specifications prior to starting workParticipates in department administrative tasksFollows scheduling and administrative proceduresParticipates in technical trainingPrepare customer reports on testing and site work performedWork under challenging conditions; able and willing to be called for Customer emergency situations. This may include longer term work assignments at customer sites.See problems as a challenge and be able to find solutions through research, peer networking and Centre of Excellence networkingRequirements:A trade education, college or university diploma/degree/trade in a technical field (electrical, mechanical, etc.)Electrical field service experience with a minimum of 3 years experience or other relevant substation / transformer experience (i.e. manufacturing, engineering design, factory project management)Must have and maintain a valid Canadian driver’s license and driver’s record acceptable to the Government of BC, AB, SK & MB and Hitachi Fleet requirementsMust be willing to work in different working conditions and hours of workWilling to travel for development when required and must maintain a valid passport for international travel.Mid-level computer operation skills, including word processing, database programs, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and Department utilized software application programsExcellent communication skills – written and oralOnly selected applicants will be contacted.
