- Produce and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for company.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and generate financial reporting for management review.
- Processing accounts payables via EFT’s and cheques.
- Processing accounts receivables, creating invoices, attaining approvals and tracking payments.
- Conduct bank and visa reconciliations, verify balances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Develops business analysis models to track profitability.
- Prepares intercompany transactions.
- Responsible for the accurate electronic and paper filing and organization of financial records.
- Assists with the corporate audit process and preparation of audit documents.
- Prepare financial records for accountant for year-end filings.
- Creates trusted relationships with all stakeholders, including, employer, employees, co-workers and suppliers.
- Provide mentorship and training to the Junior Bookkeeper in the above tasks.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum 4 years recent Bookkeeping experience.
- Bookkeeping Certificate / Diploma and/or working towards completion of Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CBP).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient with Sage 300 and Quickbooks.
- Strong MS Office 365 skills.
- Solid experience with account reconciliation processes and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Works well under deadlines.
- Supervisory experience an asset.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and relevant regulations a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
