About the roleFinding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.We are looking for a 1st or 2nd Class Power Engineer to lead development of future business needs and aid in Maintenance practices to maintain our current Heat, Steam and Air activities associated with multiple high-pressure plants. This role is based in Labrador City, NL.Leading on the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a huge amount of responsibility.   • Lead field interactions with the teams and drive a safe work culture mentality
  • Develop technical expertise to support the plant's operations
  • Have active involvement with the Process Safety initiatives
  • Identify, develop and drive opportunities to improve plant process.
  • Support the team in development of Life of Mine Planning
  • Lead a team of power engineers
  • Support the CPE (Chief Plant Engineer) in all legislative capacities. As well as assume CPE responsibilities when required. Functioning as Assistant Chief Power Engineer
  • Build relationships with the team and all clients to support processing operations and their production goals
What you'll bring
  • Must have a 1st or 2nd Power Engineer Certificate of Competency
  • Driver's License Class 5
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing infrastructures and operational strategies
  • Have exceptional time management skills
  • Drive progress with limited work direction
  • Project development and management experience is considered an asset
