  • When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments
  • Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use
  • Understand how bucket truck operates
  • Able to read construction plans
  • Determine cable lengths and complete precons for appropriate reporting and sign offs
  • Complete and adjust redline drawings accordingly
  • Assist in placing aerial cables
  • Place cables and multiports
  • Lash cables, mulitports and regular spiderweb or PSP cables
  • Place hardware, install mulitports and use lasher properly
  • Record footage to place in production reports
  • Assist in placing hardware:
  • Hang strand and fibre/cable via a boom truck and/or pole climbing.
  • Install anchors
  • Place hardware properly including bolts and associated hardware to attach it to a single pole
  • Complete production reports for submission to clients
  • Complete timesheets that are both accurate and timely
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Enhance Organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment
  • Adhere to and promotes the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of construction experience
  • Capable of working in all temperatures and climates and in confined spaces
  • Ability to travel to various site-based projects if required
Working Conditions
  • Physically demanding workload
  • Work location: Work in locations that preclude the ability to return home
  • Work hours: Shift work
  • Traveling is required
Minimum Education
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 Driver’s License
  • Required Certifications & Licenses - Training on bucket safety and working aloft
