- Ensure Projects construction activities are executed in compliance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, budget, safety and quality requirements and standards.
- Ensure all Daily Reporting and Daily Work Plans are completed and submitted daily.
- Ensure crew timesheets are completed and submitted daily.
- Be the liaison between the company and the client's site Representative.
- Leading by example, support implementation of company's safety Policies and Procedures. Document and report all injuries, fill out the Notice of Injury/Accident Report and communicate to the onsite Safety Representative.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project's construction timelines through the efficient use of all on-site construction resources, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Work with the Project Manager managing the Subcontractors on site, developing subcontract agreements as required, including tracking of the production to maintain project schedule and contract budget.
- Work directly with the Project Manger to develop project execution plans, kick-off meetings, Contract reviews and scope reviews, while working with Valard's Contracts team to ensure a well-rounded project program.
- Maintain Valard's Substation quality management program, while working directly with the on-site Quality Representative ensuring the delivery of a quality product as per the design and Contract requirements.
- Mentor, train and motivate the job-site crew in adopting a culture of Safety. Quality and Production, empower crew to remain knowledgeable of company's Safety, Construction and Quality policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Project Manager utilizing Valard's Change Management System, while working with client to review and obtain closure to all RFIs and CO's.
- Support internal and external audit and inspection activities.
- Equipment review and scheduling as required.
- 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Journeyman PSE/Electrician/Lineman designation.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience in medium to high-voltage substation construction.
- Able to manage large work groups consisting up to 25-50 people at any one time.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, project scheduling, cost and quality controls.
- Position is field based, incumbent must be able to accommodate multiple shift requirements based on site-specific project schedules.
