The course emphasizes applying feedback and reflection to continuously improve student work. The Professor leads students through an editing workshop and meets them individually to give feedback. A researcher assigned to the course to evaluate the effectiveness of asynchronous legal writing instructions is available to students to discuss any assignment. Experience teaching legal writing and experience as a mentor is an asset. Candidates must be willing to use active learning strategies and provide extensive feedback on multiple assignments. Writing professors work as a team directed by the Legal Writing Academy.
