- Maintenance experience including but not limited to:
- Maintain and/or repair any issues which arise in any of the Residence units; fridges, stoves, freezers, laundry, exterior/interior doors, door jambs, frames, weather stripping, latches, windows, blinds, window screens, light fixtures etc.
- Assist, coordinate, and work with various outside trades and internal stakeholders with regards to repairs and maintenance requirements or new construction
- Trouble shoot furnace and hot water tank issues and repair if possible.
- Maintain detailed reports on conditions of units, maintain weekly reports on utility readings, check and refill/repair unit fire extinguishers
- Respond to service calls and assist students as requested
- Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, outfit residence buildings as required
- Ensure safe access to residence grounds including snow removal for grounds, roofs, balconies, walkways. Ensure safe operation of grounds equipment.
- Maintain summer and/or winter preventative maintenance schedule (eg. re-caulk windows, snake tubs, rebuild screens, painting etc)
- Respond to student enquiries and service calls for a wide range of scenarios, eg. snaking bathtub/sink, changing taps, unclogging toilets, boost vehicle batteries, stuck vehicles, changing tires etc
- Assist with other duties including special events set-up, conferences, barbeques, contests and some office duties such as answering inquiries, collection of coins/payments, provision of receipts.
- Respond to emergency situations such as sewer back ups, gas leaks, frozen lines, fire, flood etc.
- Other desirable attributes include:
