Based in our lodges in Fort McMurray area, you will be reporting to the Manager - Remote Technical Support and providing IT services for clients within the lodges. This person will be in charge of troubleshooting hardware and software issues under the general guidance and support of the Civeo Corporate IT group.SummaryThe IT Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting and providing IT services for clients in multiple remote lodges within the organization. The IT Maintenance Technician also focuses on trouble shooting hardware and software issues under the general guidance and support of the Civeo Corporate IT group.Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to installation and repair requests related to wired and wireless LAN, phone systems, building access swipe cards, hardware and software, and cable TV.
  • Collaborate and liaise with the Corporate IT team on troubleshooting pertaining to the various technologies.
  • Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and communicate to the appropriate stakeholders IT related matters.
  • Install new telephone systems, computer hardware, and peripherals under the guidance of the Corporate IT.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsPost-secondary education in a related discipline preferred.
  • Min 3 years of progressive IT experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexible to travel and work on rotation basis.
  • Valid driver's license and clear driver's abstract.
  • Ability to work 14 days on, 7 days off rotating schedule.
