- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Completed technical training and hours
- Previous experience in tank fabrication a definite asset
- Ability to read and interpret Engineered drawings or welding process specifications and schematics
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills and able work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced working environment Capability of working overtime as required
- Safety minded individual, willingness and commitment to receiving both required and ongoing mandatory safety training as a condition of employment
- Ability to work closely with Journeyman
- Understand weld types, welding materials, tools, and equipment
- Cleans, checks for defects and shapes component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch
- Fitting and Fabrication of materials
- Provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the work areas
- work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation/regulations/safety policies
- report any known workplace hazard or safety violations
- cooperate with their workplace’s Safety Committee or health and safety representative
- use any safety equipment, protective devices or clothing required
- not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulations.
