Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, the Mechanic performs routine maintenance on company vehicles/heavy equipment and trouble-shoots issues as they arise, supporting the Fleet team.Telecon wishes to fill a full-time position of 310T Licensed Mechanic based out of our shop in the Port Perry area.YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
  • Ensures compliance with regards to health & safety and quality; drives a health and safety culture, leads by being an inspiring role model and setting examples to the team
  • Performing routine maintenance on company CVOR vehicles to the industry standards which includes: oil changes, torquing of wheel nuts on company vehicles and trailers, replacing tires, and required maintenance
  • Troubleshooting CVOR vehicle issues as they arise and completing minor repairs as required; work with Fleet Supervisor to prioritize and schedule repairs
  • Complete documentation on all work performed and completed as required
  • Order vehicles parts and supplies as required
  • Accountable for timely execution of all scheduled work
  • Additional duties as assigned
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
  • Licensed technician (310T)
  • CVOR Knowledge with previous work experience in the automotive or equipment service industry
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive mechanics and heavy equipment (Knowledge of HDD, Vac truck & Line Truck would be an asset)
  • Excellent technical knowledge of hydraulics
  • Excellent communicator, highly organized with a customer-focused approach
  • Post-secondary education or qualifications desirable
  • Valid G Driver’s License required (at a minimum)
  • Ability to travel across the assigned territory
