We are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Designer, Principal Associate to join our XD team, reporting directly into our Manager of Product Design. you want to take it one step further and make a true impact on our customersYou possess a thoughtful, inclusive, and empathetic approach to design that meets every customer where they areYou have strong knowledge of mobile designYou have a track record designing for and contributing to design systemsYou have experience working closely with Product and Engineering in an agile, iterative, data-informed product development environmentYou have a portfolio of work that demonstrates your experience, expertise, and process of creating human-centred design solutions with measurable resultsYou have experience building teams through hiring, growing, and retaining high-performing designersYou can think laterally and adapt design methodologies to fit unique project needs.You are regularly sought out by and seen as an expert in product design strategy skills by partner teams.Your key responsibilitiesStrategy & planningCollaborate and communicate closely with key stakeholders and leaders in design, product management, engineering, and marketing to execute best-in-class UX and product strategies, justify decisions, provide escalation management, and drive our OKRs.Work cross-functionally with our UX research, marketing, product and tech teams to prioritize, plan, and deliver on business initiativesBe a strong advocate for our customers through human-centred design methodsBrainstorm and help to execute design solutions that bring our products and user experience to another levelDefine standards and best practices for how mobile design is doneBe a key contributor to our Design System - develop and maintain detailed UI specificationsPresent and communicate design decisions to various stakeholders across the businessActively monitor and analyze design and fintech trends to inform our roadmap and future stateInfluence and educate on the importance of design to product teams new to design methods in order to help them integrate UCD into their product cycle.Fully autonomous in leading discovery work with minimal guidance/supportLead & develop teamsBuild and manage your own team of Product Designers through mentoring, coaching and elevating skillsProvide oversight and guidance for your team from discovery through to launch - leveraging crits, collaboration, and other HCD methodologies and practicesBalance hands-on practice with stepping back to let your team grow and develop their skillsWork to remove any potential roadblocks that may prevent your team from working effectively, and seek out opportunities to improve efficiency modelsHelp to manage the intake process, prioritization, and allocation of resources to ensure designers are on projects and initiatives that complement and stretch their skills, long term goals, and provide growth opportunitiesLead the team in evolving the Design System, processes, governance models, and best practicesNavigate conflict resolution within your team as well as within projects, teams and partner relationshipsEducation and experienceBasic requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in HCI/UX, Social Science, Psychology, Research, or other related field, or equivalent experience4+ years of Product Design experience with consumer and mobile products1+ year of experience leading/mentoring Product Designers with a proven track record of growing design talent3+ years of experience with design thinking and agile methodologies3+ years of experience in product design and delivering actionable insights to leadershipStrong, proven experience designing for mobile appsStrong working knowledge of Figma and other modern design toolsPreferred requirements:4+ years of experience working on consumer and mobile products3+ years of experience working with a variety of business partners and delivering outcomesWe may use your information for automated decision making.
