- Lead hydrologic and hydraulic engineer and engineer of record with responsibility for design recommendations and deliverables;
- Perform hydrological/hydraulic analyses and design of transportation and hydropower projects related hydraulic structures including bridges, bridge size culverts, channels, intakes, conveyance systems, surge systems, spillways, and energy dissipation systems;
- Prepare hydrological/hydraulic studies including storm water management, flood protection, dam safety reviews and assessments, preliminary and detailed design drawings, construction contract documents and special provisions; cost estimates and tender documents for above works;
- Business development and proposal preparation for civil and municipal work via RFPs process and project management to ensure quality of project deliverables on time and within budget.
- Lead, guide, and mentor a team of intermediate and junior staff.

- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Environmental or Water resources) or equivalent; and registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC or APEGA;
- 15+ years of related experience and including preparing preliminary and detailed engineering design; contract specifications and special provisions; and tender documents;
- Previous experience in the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code and the BC Supplement to TAC Geometric Design Guide and experience in BC MOTI, AT, SK MOH and MTO transportation projects;
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Storm and water hydraulic modeling using software such as PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HAMS, SWMHYMO, HY-8, FLO-3D, etc.;
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills, and ability to represent the design team to the client;
- Familiarity with municipal and provincial design standards in British Columbia and other Canadian provinces, River Engineering experience is an asset.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
