Payroll Associate (Remote)

- Running payroll in a timely manner, making changes to payroll (adding/removing employees, adding/removing deductions, etc.), handling the T4 process, and submitting ROE forms, amongst other payroll duties
- Answering inquiries from clients related to payroll and payable matters, providing recommendations and problem-solving; analyzing data
- Processing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients with different pay frequencies
- EHT, WCB filings for multiple provinces
- Reviewing CRA accounts and responding to notices
- Correspondence with clients and the bookkeeping team to ensure timely service and a hands-off experience
- PCP certified
- At least three years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment for a company or companies with multiple employees
- Intimate understanding of the Canadian payroll process, including but not limited to withholding taxes, source deductions, other deductions, benefits, ROE forms, T4 slips, and more
- Experience processing payroll in multiple provinces (QC an asset)
- You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Hyper-organized

- You are independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter
- You are a multi-tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Strong work ethic
- Tech-savvy
- A love for technology and the ability to learn new software/apps quickly
- Strong internet connection - at least 6MBPS upload and 6MBPS download speeds
- Knowledge of Wagepoint Payroll Software, Xero Accounting Software, Receipt Bank, and Hubdoc is an asset (not a requirement)
