Labs: T/Th 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.Summer 2024(Second Summer session June 24 - August 6, 2024)BIO 1060 - Introductory Microbiology for Life SciencesThis course is an introduction to the basic concepts and principles of microbiology. The structure and function of the major groups-viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa-which affect human health, are studied. Topics include the process of disease transmission, immunology, physical and chemical methods of disease prevention and control, as well as major infectious diseases of the body systems.Although there are labs in this course, the sessional instructor is only responsible for teaching the lectures.Classes: M/W 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Labs: M/W 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.BIO 1220 - Human PhysiologyThis course deals with the functioning of the human body. The physiology of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems is surveyed.
