Payroll and Bookkeeping Specialist - Recreational Facilities

- Process payroll for employees and contractors accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and distribute employee paychecks, statements, and reports.
- Manage employee benefits, including insurance, retirement plans, and other related programs.
- Reconcile payroll transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Handle inquiries and requests related to payroll and benefits from employees and management.
- Assist with general bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Support financial reporting and analysis as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping required.
- Proficiency in payroll software and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, etc.).
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Experience in the sports or education industry is a plus.
