Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP Procurement; the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, will be a change leader; driving value through leading sourcing practices and fostering a collaborative environment in a newly created team. The primary responsibilities for the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing is the management of key strategic categories such as Marketing, Corporate Services, Food & Beverage. (Categories will be commensurate with candidate's experience). The successful candidate will be responsible for category specific strategy development, RFx execution and ongoing management of assortment and performance. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple internal and external stakeholders and respond to business partners' strategic and operational requirements and needs. The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will provide direction related to sourcing events, savings optimization strategies, emerging trends, market conditions and insights to tools and best practices to drive compliance and engagement.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work with internal stakeholders to develop category short- and long-term strategic initiative execution plan
• Engage Business stakeholders proactively to identify opportunities to improve TCO of category products and services, provide market insights, and address vendor performance and process issues.
• Manage communication flow for initiative progress, risks and opportunities.
• Responsible to deliver on committed fiscal targets and provide ongoing feedback into incremental opportunities and risks
• Develop category savings monthly forecast and annual budgets
• Responsible for fiscal accountability with annual savings targets in the range of $2-3M
• Lead sourcing efforts for core categories inclusive of business case development, market analysis, sourcing and negotiation strategy.
• Lead the contract cycle inclusive of clear communication of renewal vs RFx strategy
• Work closely with all site leads to consolidate regional led programs to better leverage GCGC volume and best practices
• Collaborate with the purchasing team on demand management and compliance metrics.
• Develop best mechanisms for cost management, tracking and reporting for all managed categories.
• Lead the supplier relationship for core sped categories and ensure Tier 1 suppliers KPIs are aligned with contractual obligations and expectations
• Ensure committed fiscal targets are achieved and provide ongoing feedback into incremental opportunities and risks
• Accountable for progress on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets and plan implementation.
• Facilitate supplier vetting to align with regulatory compliance requirements
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

Education and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Consulting
• Proven track record of developing and delivering savings targets- both fiscal and from a TCO perspective.
• Demonstrated management capabilities, especially related to leading strategic initiatives, driving performance, leading change efforts, and producing superior results
• Proven negotiation and communication skills
• Computer literacy in MS Office; experience with JDE or similar ERP
• Prior work in transforming procurement and supply chain strategy and operations, and/or leading the continuous improvement of strategic sourcing and category management programs an asset
• Supply Chain Management Professional designation or other relevant education is an asset
• Computer literacy in MS Office; experience with JDE or similar ERP
• Gaming experience an asset
• Post-Secondary education in business or suitable combination of education and experience
