Mier Recruitment is hiring!Our client in Dorval, QC is actively looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team.Title: Logistics CoordinatorLocation: Dorval, QCLength of Assignment: PermanentSalary: $45,000-$50,000/yearOverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced LTL Dispatcher who will serve as the first point of contact and communication for incoming calls and dispatching pick-ups to drivers. As a Dispatch Team member, the candidate will be responsible for any and all parts of the process from receiving pick up requests, transmitting messages, and tracking vehicles progress. The candidate must be a strong communicator, able to work well under pressure with little supervision, and believe that the value and strength of a Team comes from the sum of it's parts. Flexibility in scheduling is a must, as is the ability to multi-task. Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have a strong Customer focus. We offer a competitive salary to include group benefits with an annual profit-sharing bonus.ResponsibilitiesReport directly to Dispatch manager or designateReceive and record information for all calls receivedAddress problems and make requests by communicating with the necessary parties or providing solutionsReceive calls about deliveries and dispatch pick-ups to driversMultitask and prioritize calls according to their urgencyRegularly monitor delivery progress and assure timely response within requested timelinesProviding drivers with vital information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience as a dispatcher or similar positionAbove average typing speed, maintaining accuracy with experience in data entryOutstanding organizational skills and multitasking abilitiesActive listener with exceptional communication skillsAble to work under pressure when requiredDemonstrated knowledge of the geography within the Montreal area.Familiar with load limits, and basic transportation rules and regulations.If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume.Please note that while we appreciate all applications, only those being considered will be contacted.
