We are actively seeking an experienced Operations Foreman to join our team at our Cactus Lake Asset. Reporting to the Senior Foreman, the Operations Foreman will be responsible for supporting the Operations Team to ensure that all activities are performed correctly and in accordance with safety standards. This role will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, direction and training all while fostering a positive team environment.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Promote a positive work environment consistent with Strathcona's values.

  • Responsible for the maintenance and operation of various systems, processes, machines, or equipment.

  • Participate in the development, analysis and management of operating budgets and expenditures.

  • Spearhead efficiency efforts, develop service agreements, streamline paperwork/ administration, and identify synergies and partnerships with other facilities and business units.

  • Prepare, analyze, and report on quantitative data relevant to business unit (budget, revenues, costs).

  • Generate weekly significant activities report, address questions regarding policies and procedures.

  • Document new compliance reporting/standards, and deliver employee training to ensure that all employees are aware and understand new practices/procedures.

  • Act as prime contact for all internal and third-party queries regarding day-to-day operations.

  • Supply monthly accrual information by account to Accounting department and report on monthly variances.

  • Participate in monthly production and development meetings.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of related oilfield / plant experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.

  • Completion of post-secondary qualification preferred, however not required (example: Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum, or journeyman ticket)

  • Extensive working knowledge and experience of people management; budget management, and resource management.

  • Extensive working knowledge of oil and gas well operations.

Work Environment:

  • Working our 9/80 schedule, alternating between 5 days and 4 days on.

  • Comfortable working in an operations environment and supporting large teams.

  • Time will be split between an office environment and the field environment.

  • Ability and willingness to respond to after-hours and weekend calls for critical issues.

  • Regular travel will be required.
