NAME OF THE POSITION

Senior Financial Analyst

MISSION

The purpose of the Senior Financial Analyst is to support the Manager of Financial Reporting in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), and other periodic financial reports. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for generating various financial and analytical reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance and support decision-making processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

• Analyze operational and financial results on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis for presentation to senior management;
• Prepare periodic reports analyzing the results for internal distribution to assist management in the understanding of financial and operational results and key issues;
• Provide support for variance analysis of actual results compared to budgets and forecasts to various departments;
• Assist the Manager of Financial Reporting with the preparation and review of the company's financial statements and MD&A in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
• Assist with technical IFRS guidance, analysis of accounting transactions, and preparation of memos and supporting schedules with recommendations for the appropriate accounting treatment;
• Assist with preparation and review of earnings releases, regulatory filings, and supporting schedules for note disclosures;
• Prepare, analyze and report on changes in production, revenue, cost of sales, depreciation, cash costs, all-in sustaining costs (AISC), net income, operating cash flow, and capital expenditures;
• Provide financial information and analysis to support decision-making processes across the organization, helping management make informed strategic and operational decisions;
• Other duties and tasks as necessary.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

• Post-secondary degree in business, with a major in finance or accounting
• Completion of a recognized accounting designation, (i.e. CPA)
• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm considered an asset
• Experience with mining industry considered an asset.
• Designated CPA with at least five years of progressive financial reporting experience with a large organization.
• Experience with IFRS and public financial markets (TSX, NYSE);
• Experience with a public mining company (TSX, NYSE) is preferable;
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting (IFRS), public company reporting and finance;
• Strong financial management acumen with knowledge of accounting procedures and protocols, budget administration and financial forecasting, analysis and reporting;
• Excellent understanding of financial statements, auditing, processes, accounting principles, standards, techniques and procedures;
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Personally disciplined and able to prioritize in demanding and changing circumstances;
• Ability to think strategically at all times and translate that to tactical actions;
• A communicator who keeps the business leaders informed.
