Join as a Warehouse Supervisor in Pickering, Ontario
About Us: We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead our Pickering team. You'll oversee staff, ensure a safe environment, and drive operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth distribution operations, including scheduling pickups and managing product movements.
Labor Deployment: Efficiently allocate daily workforce to meet operational targets and suggest productivity enhancements.
Material Management: Ensure timely receipt, inspection, and storage of materials to maintain fill rates and improve quality control.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement methods to enhance efficiency in shipping/receiving and optimize inventory management.
Cost Control: Manage material supply and delivery to control associated costs while meeting operational needs.
Cross-Functional Support: Assist in managing receipts, discrepancies, and backorders, providing support across departments.
Communication and Documentation: Maintain clear communication with carriers, ensuring accurate paperwork and timely reporting.
Problem Solving:
Coordination Issues: Address coordination gaps to maintain high customer service standards.
Discrepancies Management: Collaborate with other departments to resolve receiving discrepancies promptly.
Workload Fluctuations: Balance manpower to adapt to changing workloads efficiently.
Order Management: Ensure complete and accurate shipments to uphold customer satisfaction.
Communication Challenges: Maintain clear communication with carriers to avoid shipment issues.
Material Handling: Maximize warehouse efficiency by ensuring proper material handling and adjusting stock levels as needed.
Qualifications:
5 years of supervisor experience.
Availability for 3:30 PM 12:00 AM shifts and OT flexibility.
Proficiency in WMS systems, AS 400 preferred.
Strong health and safety understanding.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Results-driven with problem-solving abilities and deadline orientation.
Must have vehicle
