We are actively recruiting for reliable Warhouse/Logistics Coordinators for our clients in the Cloverdale/Langley Area. For temp to perm position for the right individual.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inbound Transload cargo. They will provide customer service, perform invoicing/billing, and communicate with vendors, shippers, carriers, etc. to ensure cargo is efficiently planned and shipped in/out.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handles clients’ inquiries, orders, requests, and concerns through email or by phone and enters them into the system.
  • Processes inbound and outbound orders using EDI.
  • Processes ASN and ensures smooth flow of merchandise from NLS, store transfers and direct shipments.
  • Contacts and books appointments with carriers including receiving appointments and entering them in into the system.
  • Gathers, collects, generates, and maintains appropriate data necessary for the inflow and outflow of orders.
  • Maintains transaction records for each customer daily and issues invoices at month end.
  • Manages inventory counts and reports for the customers.
  • Performs administrative duties such as phone handling, file maintenance, inventory, data entry.
  • Perform various administrative duties.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

  1. Skill Factors (education, experience, communication, technical, etc.)
  • High School Diploma
  • One (1) year experience, in logistics
  • One (1) year experience, customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with customers and prospective business
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly
    • Ability to fluently read, write and speak English
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access

  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems to determine resolution
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Effective time management – ability to manage self, time and priorities
  1. Working Conditions
  • Works the standard Office schedule of 37.5 hours per week; however, job requirements will include additional and/or extended work time as the business dictates
  • Job is performed in an office and warehouse environment.
  • The duties for this job will primarily be performed using telephone and IT tools, thereby requiring prolonged sitting periods in front of a computer screen.
