The Principals of Upfield have over 50 years of cumulative experience in the commercial real estate industry. Upfield is a hands-on asset manager who sources and secures real estate investment opportunities across a variety of asset classes.With tremendous growth on the horizon, EDGAR and Upfield’s Executive Leadership Team is seeking to add a Chief Financial Officer to be a strategic leader and partner to both companies, providing overall leadership, guidance, and stewardship of the finance function. As a key contributor to the organizations’ overall strategy, the CFO will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team in the development of annual plans and corporate growth strategies that optimize assets, developments, and capital structures, and create lucrative outcomes that generate economic value for investors, partners, and the Executive Leadership Team.Reporting to Rob Greer & Peter Edgar, the CFO will oversee the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, and tax functions. The CFO will be responsible for standardizing financial reporting, formalizing the companies’ compensation structures, building a comprehensive tax strategy, and anticipating future opportunities and challenges through effective financial forecasting. The CFO will further build a high-performing finance team. Externally, the CFO will assume a visible role within the industry, enhancing brand recognition and building long-lasting relationships with investors, strategic partners, and service providers.The ideal candidate is an accomplished real estate finance leader who has been responsible for developing the financial strategy for a growth-oriented, dynamic development company. They bring expertise in corporate finance, real estate syndication, budgets, cash flow management, forecasting, fundraising, and capital raising. Additionally, family office experience and tax strategy would be an asset. A highly collaborative leader, the CFO will support a culture of accountability, collaboration, and integrity through an authentic style that demonstrates curiosity, courage, and the ability to build trust-based relationships. The CFO will be high energy with a sense of urgency, able to effectively prioritize to meet the deliverables of both evolving organizations.
