General Information:
The Transformers business segment is a global technology leader as well as the world's largest supplier of transformers. We are pioneers in digital transformer technologies, working at the frontier of renewable energy and ultra-high voltage AC and DC applications.
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Manager - Electrical Testing for its Quebec City factory. Under the responsibility of the Director - Quality, the position holder must plan the various electrical and mechanical tests required for the production of transformers while ensuring the safety of the testing area.
Responsibilities:

Plan special tests internally according to the protocols in place;

Plan and coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT test) for customer approvals;

Work closely with production supervisors to coordinate the various production requirements, special tests, training, calibration and continuous improvement;
-
Work closely with the maintenance supervisor to plan the corrective and/or preventive maintenance required in the test area;
-
Participate in identifying electrical risks in the testing area as well as solutions to reduce them;
-
Ensure compliance with test safety requirements according to company standards;
-
Produce various reports for clients;

Take charge and follow up on the actions required during test equipment breakdowns while working jointly with the team in place;

Plan training and act as a trainer for quality assurance technicians;

Share expertise and advise quality assurance technicians during investigations of customer returns or test failures;

Carry out the various audits in the testing area;

Update and keep work procedures up to date;

Actively participate in defining current and future investment needs in the testing area;

Participate in the development of requirements and the implementation of projects;
-
Any other related task.
Qualifications:
-
Hold a DEC in electrical, electrotechnical, electromechanical engineering or industrial electronics technology;

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;

Mastery of the MS Office Suite;

Knowledge of a Lean system, an asset;
-
Advanced French and English (comprehension, spoken and written).
