Aerotek is hiring a Shipper for our client located in Delta, BC This is a full-time, long-term position with benefits WAGE$19/hr SHIFTMonday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm DESCRIPTION Our client is looking to hire a shipper in a manufacturing facility. JOB DUTIESThis role requires walking all shift long and standing, bending and reachingPrinting name plates, shipping, dealing with truck drivers, loading and unloading trucksInputting weight and dimensions of ordersMay be required to cover Preassemble Output. When assembly line is loaded, you will facilitate production (Only when production is having difficulty meeting rush order demands)Checking computer data inventory (When the stock shelf is empty)Picking parts for customer walk-in orders, retrieving parts for “rush customer orders” and picking orders by hand from shelves for the assembly teamHelps to Receive Parts from ContainerAssists warehouse staff to rearrange shelves, unpacks skids, and moves items to shelvesMay be required to move heavy parts using a forkliftWill be trained on how to operate an overhead craneThis individual will be working with someone until they're trained MUST HAVEAbility to lift 30lbsRead and write in EnglishAttention to detailComputer usageS it Down Counterbalance Forklift experience GREAT REASONS TO JOIN THE TEAMMonday to Friday, 40 hoursLong-term opportunityVery stable environment, very high retention rates (many workers have been with the company for 25-30+ years).Stable daytime shifts with opportunity for overtimeFamily run business, overall environment is low-stress yet still challengingHave not had any layoffs in the past several years (at least 50+)2 weeks vacation and 5 paid personal daysOnce permanent, benefits plan with Sunlife.
