Your opportunity: As the Senior Development Officer, you will be a key member of the Advancement Team collaborating on the development and implementation of programs, activities, and events aimed at cultivating prospects and stewarding donors. You will contribute to fundraising at the Annual ( $1,000 to $50,000), build and strengthen relationships of importance and promote a culture of philanthropy and volunteerism. You will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team, responsible for developing and contributing to prospect identification and cultivation and meet with potential donors to discuss giving interest and opportunities. Your portfolio will include stewardship of Major and Principal Gift donors. You will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional committed to donor relations and to the School’s mission of creating a healthy and equitable society. Your responsibilities will include: Developing plans to support donor management and stewardship strategies Managing donor relations, developing donor engagement plans and implementing alumni engagement activities that support strategic initiatives Developing project schedules including milestones, critical path, timelines, deliverables and reporting Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance Developing marketing and communication materials to support fundraising campaigns and programs Producing complex donor reports including generating reports to track fundraising progress against campaign goals Collaborating with the Director on the identification of prospects and maintenance of relationships with new and existing donors Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience Minimum (5) five years of relevant experience in a combination of alumni relations, development activities, volunteer management, student engagement and front-line customer service Related experience in a progressive fundraising role, supporting event planning and execution preferably in a higher education fundraising or non-profit environment Ability to develop and implement plans to support donor management and stewardship strategies and/or activities including donor reporting and the donor wall updates Demonstrated experience developing full cycle project schedules Proven track record of consistent and progressive fundraising success Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, including meeting with potential donors Proven experience motivating and engaging others (i.e. volunteers and staff) Experience using and maintaining a specialized database (i.e. alumni/donor database) and analyzing data with initiative and independent judgment Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Superior organizational skills including the ability to balance competing priorities and work under pressure to specific deadlines Solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Assets (Nonessential): Experience using fundraising databases e.g. Blackbaud To be successful in this role you will be: Approachable Communicator Meticulous Organized Persuasive Team player Closing Date: 05/07/2024, 11:59PM ET Employee Group: USW Appointment Type : Budget - Continuing Schedule: Full-Time Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 15 -- $93,752 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $119,892.
