Logistics Specialist, Flatbed

The Logistics Specialist for Eastern Canada Flatbed will source and coordinate freight across North America. This role will also serve as a liaison between all Flatbed Divisions, and will work closely with each team to maintain efficiency and grow profitability. The ideal candidate will be sales focused and highly in tuned with the customers needs.
How You'll Help
Sales
- Source LTL and FTL loads in support of D&R fleet
- Provide quotes for high volume clients in an expedited fashion
- Work closely with Sales Reps across Canada to provide updates on fleet availability and loading trucks
- Broker loads to D&R approved carriers
- Other related duties as may be required
Operations
- Support Dispatch by communicating with customers and drivers regarding routes, delays, etc.
- Booking pickup and Delivery times as required.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Flatbed brokerage and quoting
- Previous Transportation or operational experience is required.
- Communication skills - advanced
- Computer skills - accuracy, MS products, Truck Mate, web based programs
- Demonstrated customer relationship skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Able to work deadlines in high transactional environment
- Ability to champion business needs in a collaborative manner to colleagues
- Results focused
- English, other languages an asset
- Able to work with little supervision
