Accountabilities: Assist in the execution of any alterations to existing production procedures. Maintain operational continuity and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Utilize expertise in assembly processes, tools, equipment, and products to strategize and implement production plans effectively. Implement strategies to optimize team productivity, including team-building activities, positive reinforcement, and open communication channels. Provide constructive and consistent feedback to production staff, fostering a culture of transparency and improvement. Promote Continuous Improvement initiatives to streamline processes and identify cost-saving opportunities across the organization. Monitor and report employee daily attendance, ensuring accurate payroll logging. Generate daily/monthly reports using standardized business formats and communicate performance metrics. Facilitate daily production meetings to update staff on production requirements, quality metrics, and safety protocols.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience in a production supervisory role within a unionized environment – automotive manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge about 5s and WCM initiatives. Proficient in Microsoft Office Some Management/Supervisor Training and/or directly related experience. Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead cross functional teams Works well under pressure, and requires minimal supervision. Excellent problem solving/analytical skills.
