A bit about the role…

This a Summer Co-op position in the Shipping and Receiving department offers hands-on experience in managing the daily logistics and operational tasks associated with the movement of goods. The role provides exposure to various aspects of supply chain management within a fast-paced environment.

WHO YOU ARE :

• You have enrollment in a relevant Co-op program, with courses in supply chain management, logistics, and transportation.

• You have the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently.

• You have a strong focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks.

• You have experience or familiarity with logistics and supply chain management practices.

• You have good communication skills and the ability to be proactive in solving problems.

Nice to haves….

• You have experience in logistics or supply chain roles, which is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

• Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;

• Be willing to comply with Solink's own security policies and standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• You will organize daily shipments and manage scheduling to ensure timely delivery.

• You will utilize UPS Worldship to create accurate shipping labels.

• You will arrange transportation and address any issues during the process, such as delays and customs complications.

• You will handle invoice generation and reconciliation using NetSuite, ensuring 100% accuracy.

• You will interact with project managers and operations teams to align on logistics requirements.

• You will liaise with external partners like UPS to coordinate shipping activities.

• You will employ Google Suite for communication and documentation.

• You will utilize UPS Worldship and NetSuite for logistical and financial operations, enhancing the efficiency of shipping and invoicing processes.

• You will, as needed, be required to support shipping and receiving operations and lift up to 50 lbs.
