Job Description:Job Description Mississauga truck and heavy equipment shop currently seeking an 310T licensed mechanic. Skills and Qualifications:Experience working with various construction vehicles/heavy equipment/asphalt equipmentPhysically capable of meeting the job requirements; ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, ability to bend, stoop, kneel and safely climb a ladderProficient in working with technology (computers, tablets, diagnostics, online researching, etc)Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Duties and Responsibilities:Completing work ordersPerform defect repairsConducting brake, safety, and PM inspectionsPerform safety's for truck equipment in accordance with Ministry of OntarioMaintain all records of maintenance performed, parts and supplies usedPerform on road repairs/services calls as requiredMaintaining required tools for the jobsOther duties as assigned by Shop ManagerBeing available for after hours on-call responsibilities as required Required Experience:Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferredEnrolled as an Apprentice or certified Journeyperson in the heavy duty equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferredMust be committed to customer service and service excellence Job Requirements:A valid 310T certificate in repairing gasoline/diesel vehicles/heavy duty equipment and asphalt equipmentMust posses the recommended minimum hand tools for a 310TA valid driver's licenseExperience with computers is an assetFull-time Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.
