Under general supervision, the porter's responsibilities include: transporting patients to and from various wards and departments; assisting with patient lifts and transfers; assisting patients in and out of wheelchairs; delivery of food wagons and late trays to clinical units; delivery of specimens, equipment, documents and supplies; movement of heavy equipment and supplies; operation of power equipment; responding to all Codes and assisting as required; and other duties as assigned.
