Position Information This role reports to the Manager of Nursing Education.This role serves to increase knowledge, skills and abilities of targeted learners falling under the Nursing Education department (clerks, PSW, other support services). They will proactively create, design, and implement in-person and virtual learning opportunities and strategies based on best practice in Adult Education. This includes conducting learning needs assessment and developing and delivering and evaluating multiple learning modalities including e-learning programs and Electronic Health documentation (i.e. inpatient/outpatient clerk Epic) that support and enable TOH's vision.The home base for this position is at the General Campus.Temporary position until approximately March 31, 2025. Rotation/Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts.For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change.Basic Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Hospitality, Allied Health Education or a related discipline or equivalent experience; Two (2) years experience in a health care environment; Two (2) years technical knowledge as a unit clerk in a clinical area, or equivalent training and experience ; Advanced working knowledge of Shared Medical System (SMS) for inpatient and outpatient areas; Ability to support inpatient-outpatient clerk Epic training and collaborate with various stakeholder; Knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices in training and education; Knowledge of project management principles; Knowledge of quality improvement principles and methods; Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel; High degree of initiative; Proven ability to learn and apply hospital policies and procedures, relative legislation such as Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and Canadian Hospital Accreditation Standards; Strong team player with ability to assist in developing high performance teams; Proven ability to be an effective change agent and to manage complex change processes effectively; Proven ability to respond to a large numbers of simultaneous and competing demands; Excellent organizational skills, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written; Excellent presentation skills; Eligible to work in Canada. Preferred Qualifications Experience in process mapping; Experience in data base development; Experience working with audio-visual equipment; Experience coaching and/or training; Knowledge of collective agreements; Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
