We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, while ensuring patients receive high-quality care in a comfortable environment. Aside from dental assistant responsibilities, we are seeking someone with clerical experience, such as: ensure patient satisfaction, organize and assist in scheduling and planning, and handle administrative duties. We ask that only those with 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a dental assistant apply to this position. Licence/Certification: Certified Dental Assistant (preferred)

Job Requirements: Prepare patients for dental examinations Prepare plaster models and moulds Train other dental laboratory assistants Order dental and office supplies Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory Prepare dental instruments and filling materials Maintain and order supplies Perform reception and clerical duties Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment Educate patients concerning oral hygiene Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays Schedule and confirm appointments Perform intra-oral duties Take and develop X-rays Record dental procedures performed on patients Invoice patients for dental services Polish and buff dentures Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year - Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or willingness to learn - Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods - Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
