Position: Indigenous Education CoordinatorEmployment: 50% PermanentSchool: Division OfficeStart Date: September 3, 2024Posting #: 001-IC-24 (Reposted)The PositionGarden Valley School Division invites applications for the position of Indigenous Education Coordinator effective September 3, 2024.Garden Valley School Division seeks an Indigenous Education Coordinator with a strong understanding of Indigenous culture, history and traditions. The Coordinator will provide support to schools to promote the learning and achievements of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit learners by helping educators to incorporate Indigenous cultures and identities into their teaching and practices. The Coordinator will work to increase awareness and understanding among Indigenous and non-Indigenous educators and students about Indigenous Peoples’ histories, cultures, and knowledge systems.
