DescriptionRobert Half has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity that offers a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. Attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department, this role works closely with and reports to the Accounting Manager. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the New Westminster, British Columbia area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position.Responsibilities Assist with internal and external audits as needed Perform full-cycle A/P Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed Execute additional tasks as neededRequirements Competent with spreadsheets and databases Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement Prior experience in an A/P role preferred AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred Microsoft Excel experienceRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
