Your role Working as a Family Support Worker, you will provide home-based support services to families and children. This position assists in strengthening the parent-child relationship by improving parenting skills. Collaborating with the assigned Social worker, and family in devising a tailored case management plan. Social Worker Degree or Social Services Diploma Experience working collaboratively with parents to strengthen the parent-child relationship by improving parenting skills Experience identifying and assessing risk of families and children using the child protection lens Experience assisting parents in learning problem-solving and coping skills by teaching and modeling appropriate and positive parenting and life skills Experience facilitating groups It may be helpful for you to review “Prepare your resume and cover letter”.Skills Desired knowledge, skills and suitability If selected for an interview, candidates should have, and may be assessed o n, the following: Proven ability to build rapport and trust in relationships with clients, collaterals and stakeholders A commitment to providing the best service possible.
