Our client, a leading utilities and renewable energy engineering solutions provider, is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join their team immediately on a permanent full-time basis.With over 15 years of experience in the renewable industry, you will be joining a team of industry experts to provide turnkey integrated monitoring and control solutions to wind, solar, oil and gas, and power delivery systems.This is a hybrid position working out of their office in Richmond Hill.Role And ResponsibilitiesProvide SCADA expertise on wind, battery, solar and PV + Storage power systems during the design, development, implementation, and commissioning phases of each project.Design and deploy wind energy, solar, and battery storage SCADA systems.Work with project manager to deliver procurement and deployment plans, timelines, and costs.Work with and manage clients to ensure requirements and expectations are clear.Manage IT consultants and subcontractors for network security deliverables, testing, budgets, and system completion.Coordinate project site TELCO installation, scheduling and manage schedules and owners' expectation.Deploy SCADA solutions according to timelines and budget.Troubleshoot problems until site requirements are met.Program substation RTAC units, and communication hardware using standard SCADA protocols.Work closely with the team and client's team to warranty a quality system is installed and tested to design specifications.Ensure that SCADA systems have been installed per project requirements and tested to meet QSE, CAISO, Utility, and regional reliability council requirements.Ensure SAFETY requirements are met.Travel required 20-25% of the time.QualificationsBS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science Engineering4+ years of proven utility or industrial (water / wastewater, chemical, oil & gas, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, processing) SCADA experience, preferably within renewable energy industry and projects2+ years of relevant project engineering / management experienceFamiliarity with and able to stay current on SCADA regulations and standardsExperience with automation device integrationExperience with FAT and SAT testing and documentationMust have Ignition Core certificationMust have experience with Ignition SCADA, Python, and SQL DatabasesMust have experience with Wonderware Intouch, clearSCADA, Wonderware System Platform, Studio 5000, RSLogix5000, FT View, and Microsoft OfficeIf you believe you are a qualified candidate for this position and would like to pursue this opportunity, please apply to this position by sending your resume to alan.hung@expandreach.ca!For More Information, Please ContactAlan Hung, Recruitment SpecialistExpand Reach Inc.905-415-8828 x5002
