Our roots are in seniors housing, where we provide both technical services and support to staff - from the front-line nurses all the way to the accountants and executives running the companies that we service. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Edmonton, AB for a Help Desk Technician at mySTARS Technology Consultants. The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving customer issues related to hardware and software. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with customers to understand and translate technical issues in non-technical language, and provide prompt and courteous service. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience in any service-related industry Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize workload Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Experience in a similar role is an asset High School Diploma required Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers Record events and problems and their resolution in logs Follow-up and update customer status and information Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
