Role description:
Arcadis Canada is seeking a Senior Environmental PM/CM (Project Manager/Construction Manager) to support our growing business across multiple sectors in Canada. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Environmental PM/CM looking for a career defining position that can be located anywhere in Ontario. This role will work within the Arcadis Construction Services team which is part of the Global Resilience Business Area. Remote opportunity with travel to job site and office as required.
As part of our Environmental team, you’ll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. And in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.
Role accountabilities:

Direct experience working at contaminated sites such as; industrial facilities, refineries/bulk plants/gas stations, military properties, commercial processing plants, federal government properties, airports, mines, power plants, wind farms and solar facilities
Project management on small; large and complex environmental projects including, development and management of scope, schedule, budget, technical resources, project risks evaluation and mitigation, and procurement as well as technical advice, report preparation and senior review
Health and safety of the project team along with Visible Felt Leadership at all times
Responsible for ensuring that site/client project management objectives are defined and met (i.e. scope, schedule, cost)
Support practice area planning and goal setting, working with other senior level staff across Canada and in the US to provide integrated services for current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local, national, and international collaborative opportunities
Maintain positive and long-term professional working relationships with client contacts, contractors, engineering consultants, and external agencies
Contribute to ongoing technical knowledge and innovation initiatives within Arcadis
Knowledge and experience working for clients in industrial, development, and federal and provincial government sectors
A proven ability to design and implement field programs; analyse data, write reports, provide quality control and assurance and present results to Clients
Experience with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expression of Interests, Statement of Qualifications
Excellence in communication and collaboration skills that facilitate detailed planning, timely decision-making, and efficient implementation
Keen understanding and experience in working within a Behaviour Based Safety System including development and use of Job Safety Analyses and performance of Job Observations
Valid driver’s license required
Ability and willingness to travel to sites across Canada
The ability to lead and motivate the members of the team

Qualifications & Experience:

10+ years' experience managing construction projects
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, construction management or similar field preferred
