GFL Environmental is looking for a safe and experienced full-time AZ Driver for immediate hire.The AZ Driver will be delivering recycling and refuse loads from 86 Sackville Rd in Sault Ste. Marie with walking floor trailers to Traverse City and Dafter Michigan. Heavy hauling and walking-floor experience is an asset. Deliveries are completed Monday to Friday but may be required on Saturdays on weeks with statutory holidays.Location: 86 Sackville Rd, Sault Ste Marie, ON.In-person applications accepted.Minimum requirements: 5 years’ experience and ability to drive in Michigan, USA. Walking floor trailer experience an asset.Home terminal will be 86 Sackville Rd in Sault Ste. Marie with walking floor trailers to Traverse City and Dafter Michigan. Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established company policies and contract obligationsResponsible for daily electronic driving log book and inspections of assigned assetsComplete daily routes as assigned by the Route supervisorsSatisfy customer needs for servicePerform end of day driver check-ins to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completionEnsure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe mannerMay perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route SupervisorsAdhere to the “Safe For Life” practice within the workplaceKnowledge, Skills and Competencies:Valid AZ licenseClean drivers abstract and CVORMust be physically fit to be successful in the positionExperience in roll-off, front end, curb-side, dump truck, walking floor, heavy and over-sized loads, live-bottom and end dump trailer work, flat deck and float transportation is an asset. Must be able to adapt to daily changes in project assignment to satisfy the needs of the customer.
