As the summer student under the supervision of your direct report, you will play a vital role in?advancing policy formation across a variety of subject areas to support the development of a resilient regional transportation system. You will gain practical experience and receive mentorship from highly qualified public service professionals.
Responsibilities- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
- Support policy development by providing research, analysis, and jurisdictional scans on a variety of complex issues relating to the JRTA mandate;
- With support prepare clear, accurate, and timely briefing materials;
- Coordinate and track deliverables as directed;
- Report on the progress of projects and other initiatives as required;
- This position may perform other related duties as assigned to support the JRTA team.
Qualifications- The ideal candidate:
- · is efficient with computers including Office software such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint;
- · is organized and able to prioritize your work; and
- · demonstrates excellent communication skills and work well in both independent and team-based work environments.
- · has a high degree of independent judgement and initiative, with the ability to develop concepts and communicate effectively (written and verbally).
