Position Summary

In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the Production Manager is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of Plant 1&2. Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Manager ensures first-time quality is a priority each and every time while adhering to health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations at plant 1; direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the machining factory area.
  • Responsible for executing the production plans to meet customer quality and delivery expectations; achieved by establishing work schedules and employee assignments.
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment while meeting plant productivity goals.
  • (Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations)
  • Initiates and drives continuous improvement.
  • Report daily key performance indicators (KPI) for various areas.
  • Hold and participate in daily communication reviews on the floor with team.
  • Confer with others to coordinate operations and activities within or between teams.
  • Responsible for building an effective team within the production area.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules to determine production requirements to meet targets.

As Required:

  • Identify equipment maintenance requirements for supervisory area, ensure regular maintenance of machines to ensure maximum up time
  • Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.
  • Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
  • Assist in HR task when called upon
  • Any additional tasks requested by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 10+ years of machining experience.
  • CNC Machining experience is a must.
  • Sound knowledge machine shop equipment working, functions, safety set up and programming background.
  • Computer skills-Visual, Excel, Word, Outlook, Lemoine and Mastercam
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Must be able to work independently, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and organize plant workload.
  • Prefer LEAN implementation experience including Kaizen events and visual factory initiatives.
  • Plastic processing experience is an asset.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
  • Ability to ensure quality standards are met;
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in time management and communication skills
