We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, FP&A - BI, Data & Analytics to join our growing organization. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for developing our Business Intelligence, data and analytics strategy.

This role can be based from our Head Office in Downtown Toronto. This is an on-site position.

Job Overview:

As the Senior Manager of FP&A - Business Intelligence, Data and Analytics, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our company by developing our Business Intelligence, data and analytics strategy. You will leverage data to inform key business decisions and use automation tools to improve and streamline finance and operational processes.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with operations and finance teams to gather data requirements, establish standard definitions, and develop a comprehensive set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be utilized across the organization. Additionally, you will work closely with the development team to build data definitions and dashboards tailored to our specific business needs. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the training and rollout of these dashboards to corporate and practice level staff, ensuring widespread adoption and utilization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with operations and finance teams to gather data requirements and understand business needs
  • Develop a comprehensive set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with the development team to build data definitions, create intuitive and actionable dashboards and ensure accuracy of data
  • Lead the training and rollout of dashboards to corporate and practice level staff, ensuring effective utilization
  • Continuously monitor and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and analytics
  • Identify and assess robotic process automation opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
  • Create a culture of data-driven decision making and innovation

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
  • Must have experience in a multi-site environment within a large corporation

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL processes
  • Experience with Power Query
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the use of functions, power query, pivot tables, and macros, to manage, analyze, and report data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing data-driven strategies that drive business results
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or dental industry is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
