Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the temporary, full time (up to 12 month) position of Plant Operator II at the Halifax Forum with Parks & Recreation. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the refrigeration plant, ice making, building operation services, maintenance of ice surfaces, building maintenance and set up for special events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff maintain and adhere to all applicable Government Regulations and Acts relating to the operation of the Halifax Forum Complex.

WORK STATUS: Temporary, full time (up to 12 months)
HOURS OF WORK: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm & 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm, Shift 1 of the Collective Agreement; Wednesday - Sunday, Monday & Tuesday off with alternating Friday, Saturday & Sundays; 40 hours per week.

SALARY: Group 3, $25.37 per hour as per the collective agreement between CUPE Local 108 and HRM
WORK LOCATION: Halifax Forum, 2901 Windsor Street, Halifax (Supervisor: Greg Raymond)
