Mon Pitou Bistro & Bakery is hiring a weekend Line Cook to execute our daily lunch/brunch service. This is not a traditional Line Cook role so the ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and motivated.
*This role ranges from 16-18 hours per week, with mandatory Saturday & Sunday availability*
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, bake, and cook food as directed
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Execute daily brunch service on the line
- Prep and pack retail food to replenish inventory
- Daily & weekly routine cleaning and maintenance
- Assist with assembling catering orders
- Aid in opening/closing duties, including set up or break down
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on kitchen equipment
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and properly
- Assist with dishwashing activities when required
- Receive deliveries with a thorough inspection and proper storage
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a line cook in a full-service restaurant environment.
- Must be available on Saturdays and Sunday (non-negotiable)
- Must be able to work a daytime shift ranging from 8 am - 5 pm
- FoodSafe level 1 certification required
- A team player and a great communicator
- Attentive to detail and quality, while multitasking
- Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner
- Positive attitude under pressure & small workspace
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
