Role Overview:

To generate investment and product content to provide FIC sales and marketing with product expertise, investment perspectives, competitive intelligence and information and analysis to support the sales of FIC funds.

The ETF Team at Fidelity Investments Canada is responsible for providing high quality investment product analysis and expertise. The group is the in-house expert on a multitude of products offered across our ETF business both for retail and institutional clients. The Group works closely with the Strategist, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Institutional Teams to meet the needs of the clients and other key areas of the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Build, maintain and communicate an expert level of knowledge on assigned products and the capital markets in which they invest
  • Ensure that assigned products are optimally positioned for success
  • Products are fully supported with content, communications and messages aligned with FIC overall business and sales objectives
  • Support sales team members on ad hoc queries for product information and sales team training
  • Build and maintain working relations with assigned investment staff retail sales teams, and marketing partners
  • Build strong relationships across the marketing group
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with market makers and monitor ETF trading activities
  • Proactively develop and deliver ETF education and marketing ideas
  • Identify compelling product ideas and key factors that will influence sales success
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Ensuring clarity and accuracy of all product collateral

What We Are Looking For

  • Undergraduate university degree or or equivalent experience
  • Progressing toward CFA designation or advanced business or financial analysis degree is preferred
  • 1-2 years of relevant investment industry experience and/or academic experience would be an asset
  • VBA and Macro skills is an asset

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of financial software solutions
  • Strong public presentation skills and confident in front of clients
  • Confident, strong relationship builder
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Sound grasp of key concepts of portfolio management theory as well as the ability to analyze, interpret and communicate portfolio performance and investment characteristics

You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity's dynamic working arrangement
