A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this position you'll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component, or major repair on wind turbines. During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. A Manitoba Electrical License up to 600V is required and must be willing to learn the mechanical portion and turbine maintenance/repair. At this site near St Leon, MB, you will typically have shifts 5 days a week at 8-10 hours a day. You also will have an on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours (weekends). This site has a long-term contract of 10 years remaining. The team here normally works in teams of 2-3 and typically will climb 1-2 turbines a day and will travel a minimum of 20% per year. This site has great opportunities to be able to grow within Vestas.

MORE ABOUT YOU

✓ You hold a Manitoba Electrical License that allows you to work up to 600V

✓ You will need a safety-focused mindset and can identify solutions to issues with process of elimination

✓ Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks

✓ You will have computer skills including email, Excel, Microsoft systems, as well as Teams, and data entry into our systems

✓ You will bring a high school diploma or equivalent as well as at least a year of wind experience OR 2-3 years of experience in transferrable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work
