As an Industrial Millwright at Hexagon Purus, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of mechanical systems, including conveyor systems, robotic assembly lines, high pressure pumping systems, adhesive dispensing, and other industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, dismantle, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery.
- Thorough knowledge and expertise in mechanical systems and industrial automation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and production staff to address maintenance needs and minimize downtime.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to repair or improve machinery performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies, equipment, and maintenance techniques.
- Facility / Building Maintenance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certification, Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal) will be given preference.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an industrial millwright in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Welding and fabrication skills are an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, scissor and boom lifts and other mobile equipment.
- Using CMMS (IFS) based system to order parts, perform scheduled preventative maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports through the CMMS.
- Experience with electrical, PLC and Robotics would be an asset.
- Good computer skills
In accordance with the Pay Transparency Act of British Columbia, we anticipate this position will pay a compensation range of:
$32 - $45/hr, plus bonus, RSP match, and benefits
The compensation posted is a guide and may not represent the final amount offered to a candidate. Compensation will be based on candidate skills, qualifications, and overall experience level.
Compensation at Hexagon Purus includes base salary, comprehensive benefits package, variable annual bonus, and 6% RRSP match.
