Our work is done in collaboration with public, private and not-for-profit partners.Partners for Youth Inc, is looking to hire a fulltime Project Coordinator for the New Brunswick Youth in Care Network.This is a leadership position with Partners for Youth Inc. The position is a front line staff position with additional roles and responsibilities related to program development and program logistics. The New Brunswick Youth in Care Network Coordinator will work alongside of the Francophone Network Coordinator, supporting current and former youth in care in New Brunswick.The New Brunswick Youth in Care Network (NBYICN) seeks to develop a sense of belonging and a spirit of leadership in youth in and from the provincial care system. Aside from network building and connections between youth in care, the network delivers several specific programs for current and former youth in care. Network members also collaborate and are in engaged in public policy and legislation related to children and youth in care.Qualifications:Successful completion of post-secondary education, preference given to a background social workBilingualism is an assetProof of eligibility to work in CanadaExperience working with current and former youth in careDevoted, determined, responsible, enthusiastic, creative and a sensitive team memberDrivers license is requiredResponsibilities:Provide support & mentorship to current and former youth in careDelivery of projects and programs related to the NBYICNTravel and promotion of the network to support recruitmentInvolvement with public policy and legislationRecord and Report keepingAbility to work flexible hours – evening and weekend work required from time to timeRisk managementGoals:Working alongside other members of the team, ensuring all regions are receiving the same services and programming.Create events to engage network members. Help to identify annual network member goals and activities.Design and delivery of trainings and workshops for communitiesSupport, delivery and promotion of network programs including: Comfort Kit Program, Mindful Kids, Youth Works, Home Base Fund, PFY Connect, Stay in School ProgramEngagement and consultation on systemic policy/legislation/regulation development as needed.Arrange multiple regional presentations to Social Development and local group homes as needed.Build rapport with other provincial and national organizations that share similar goals and objectives as the NBYICNLocation: office located in Fredericton, travel throughout the province of New BrunswickPlease reply with a resume, cover letter, 3 references:By Mail to: Partners for Youth Inc.487 Brunswick St.Fredericton, NBE3B 5L6By Email to: jsharpe@RVL.caCompetitive salary and benefits package.
