About the opportunity:

To meet the needs of our constantly evolving clientele, Best Way Stone is looking to expand our Customer Service Team, which supports customers by providing knowledgeable information, answering questions and responding to grievances. Located at our Head Office in Woodbridge, the Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for acting as a liaison between Best Way Stone and its customers.

The ideal candidate will have:

Demonstrated prior customer service or related experience in a customer-facing role.
Mandarin language skills are considered an asset.
Knowledge of pre-cast concrete landscaping products is considered an asset.
Problem solving and math skills are required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to understand and follow instructions, and ability to read, retain and comprehend guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to the position.
Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions such as answering emails, phone calls and in-person inquiries while completing daily order entry requirements.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
High attention to detail and organization for accurate order entry and tracking.
Strong organizational skills with ability to maintaining documentation, setting priorities and timelines.
Ability to provide regular and predictable attendance.
Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

Enter purchase orders, confirming order dates, taking phone orders and entering phone and fax orders into the computer system.
Answer customer inquiries and communicate with our dealers and contractors.
Assisting the sales team with customer relations.
Process all cash and credit card transactions and ensure payments received balance daily.
Providing customer service and assistance with choosing product, delivery arrangements and payment.
Perform tractor-trailer checks to ensure load accuracy before delivery.
Assisting with completion of special projects as needed and assigned.

Hours will vary with business demands and may range from 7am start to 4pm or 5pm finish time. Overtime is frequent during peak selling months from May to September. The role works Monday to Friday, with Saturdays being required during peak selling months.
